In general, we would ask that you contact the programme administrator Debbie (debbie.moodie@uct.ac.za) & programme coordinators Dave (dave.leroux@uct.ac.za) / Lizelle (lizelle.jacobs@uct.ac.za) with your admin need/s & they can then point you in the right direction on who to contact.

International students

International students may contact IAPO (International Academic Programmes Office) for support around matters pertaining to administration around being an international student at UCT. They have a helpful page on what to do "Before you arrive"; which takes you through accepting your study offer, paying fees, applying for a via & preparing the necessary documentation. They also provide some information about accommodation, medical aid cover, personal insurance, medication and mobile phones.

Please note that the UCT Postgraduate Funding Office deals with matters of bursaries & scholarships.

Applications & technical help

Applications: apply online here. Note: applications for 2024 are due before: 30 September 2023.

To log into Peoplesoft, go here. Students can view & manage their administration via Peoplesoft, including:

• Change of curriculum applications
• Leave of absence (LOA) applications
• Registration applications
• Thesis/dissertation related matters
• International student pre-registration applications

Vula is UCT's learning management system. Every PGDip course will have its own Vula site. Once you register as a student, you will be added to each site. Each site will contain a course outline, contact details for the course convener & all the course materials (readings, presentations, recorded lectures, discussion forums, etc.) Students will also submit their assignments via Vula.

Here you can find a video showing you how to log into Vula as a guest (using your personal email address - if you are not yet a registered UCT student & cannot log in using your yet-to-be-given student number).
