Commons Tool

Commons is a new tool, similar to a social media wall (similar to Facebook wall) for posts and updates on the Vula site. The course convener, lecturers, tutors and students can post to the “wall” as well as reply to posts made by others.  Please note that the course convener will need to add this tool if it will be used in the course site. Currently, you also need to ask to have the Permissions set on this tool before you can use it on your site (even though the course convener can add the tool).

Key Points:

• This new tool is similar to a social media wall such as Facebook - you can post and reply to each other’s “posts”.
• It does not support grading or other more advanced Forums features, such as threaded discussions, group permissions, availability dates, etc.
