Tests and Quizzes
Depending on your tutoring duties, you may use the Tests & Quizzes tool to create online assessments (i.e., tests, exams, quizzes, and surveys) for delivery via a web interface to students. You can create the assessments question by question or import already prepared questions from a formatted XML file. You can add a time limit for the assessment and a due date, after which your students will no longer be able to submit. It is a very important tool in the context of online teaching as it can replace written assessments conducted during face to face teaching.
Most question types in Tests & Quizzes are automatically graded by the system. This saves time compared to manually grading assessments. However, you will need to manually score short answer/essay questions, file uploads, and audio recordings. You may also adjust the auto-graded scores, add comments, or give partial credit.
