Screencast-o-matic

A screencast is a video of anything that happens in a frame on your screen. The video can include both static or dynamic images.  Videos can be uploaded to the Resources folder in Vula to ensure that every student has access to it, as well as linked to Vula Lessons pages.

How-to Guide:

  • Video on how to use Screencast-o-matic:

 

Example:

  • When teaching your students how to use a particular programming software or functions of it, you can open the software on your laptop and use Screencast-o-matic to record everything that is happening on your screen.
  • It will allow your students to see each step that you are doing which will provide them with a better understanding of the topic at hand.

Group Settings:

  • Please make sure that you upload your videos on Vula so that every student has access.

Key points:

  • You can use this tool to record what is happening within a frame on your screen.
  • It can be particularly useful in teaching programming or other simulation based tools required in the course.
  • You can upload and share the Video on Vula.
