Graded Student Page (In Lessons tool)

In the Lessons tool, Student Pages can be added so that students can create their own content. Through adjusting the settings, students can add content individually or groups provided they are working on different items on the same lesson page. This content can then be marked using the gradebook. This is not currently a widely-used tool at UCT.

Group settings:

A Gradebook item must be created if student content pages are going to be graded. Content on the page and comments made by students can all be graded. Add a peer review rubric to each page if you want to allow students to grade other student pages based on a rubric. If you want students to be able to review their own pages, check the box for Allow self-grade.

Key points:

• Student pages can be set to anonymous if you want the student pages to not reflect the name of the student creating the pages.

• Add the comments tool to each page if you will allow other students to comment on the student pages. These comments can also be set to be anonymous.
