Rubrics

The Rubrics tool allows you to create and share grading rubrics for use in Sakai tools such as Assignments, Forums, Tests & Quizzes, and Gradebook. Rubrics can be very important as they provide descriptions of levels of quality of student work against previously established criteria. While writing a good rubric can be a time consuming and iterative process, they are an excellent way of standardising grades across markers, giving a student feedback on why their work was graded in a particular way, and providing direction for further learning.
