Step 4. Defining the project objectives and performance indicators.

Using the root definition/goal, conceptual model and gap analysis, it is possible to define objectives for the project. Objectives are:

Specified descriptions of the outcome of an intention.
Measurable descriptions of intended realistic future outcomes
Clear and unambiguous statements of future states
SMART -

S = specific
M = measurable
A = achievable
R = relevant
T = time-bound.

For each objective we need to list the performance indicators - that will measure the achievement or non-achievement of an objective.

The objectives state what it is that we would like to achieve while the performance indicators state how we would measure our performance.

From your conceptual model above, identify three objectives and develop three performance indicators that you would use to monitor the outcome of the project.
