Most parts of the building are not air conditioned as a result of two reasons. One of the reasons is that low E glass is used in the building and this deflects a lot of the sun’s spectrum thus blocking about 70% of the yearly Guangzhou heat. Another reason is that chilled radiant ceiling pipes are used to cool the building.
