CASE STUDY 4

Comment and Questions

BL: 10 Oct 2003: PLH = 18,7 PBI = 2,1

These two audiograms (see the second one) represent the Baseline performed on 10 Oct 2003. The PBI was 2,2 and it thus seemed compensatable. A subsequent diagnostic audiogram on 29 October 2003 measured a PBI of 0,9 (thus not compensatable). The question now remains: Which one of these two audiograms should be regarded as the "baseline" for future reference? The best audiogram should be used - the diagnostic audiogram should therefore also be used in the future as the baseline audiogram (thus baseline PLH = 12,3% and not 18,7%)
