THE OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENE HAZARD SCAN AND RISK ASSESSMENT

Students are taught by way of the first factory visit in the Practicum Block how to do a hazard scan and occupational hygiene risk assessment using a hazard matrix methodology which is similar to that used for the Factory Visit in Practicum Block 1. The only difference is that first of the eight steps is skipped and you can proceed directly from the second step.

EXAMPLES OF A HAZARD SCAN AND A QUALITATIVE RISK ASSESSMENT 

 

Two examples are provided. Each one shows the report as a word document file and the presentation that was made to the class at the second Practicum Block as a powerpoint file. The second one is much more extensive than needs to be the case and the first one is better to model your own work on.
