OBJECTIVES

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is not usually considered or taught as an occupational disease. The objective of this session is to review the importance of COPD and its links to inorganic and organic dust as well as other exposures.

- Sources of evidence for occupational as a risk factor for COPD
  - Community based studies (example of the DHS)
