This slide illustrates post inflammatory decreased pigmentation. A range of degrees of hypopigmentation are evident on the skin of a patient who has had psoriasis that has been treated with topical agents and has now resolved. The inflammatory process has been controlled but time is required for melanisation of the normalised keratinocytes to occur.
