The three measures of occurrence:

• P = Prevalence;
• IP = Incidence proportion;
• IR = Incidence rate.

The four measures of effect (of an exposure):

• PR = Prevalence ratio;
• IPR = Incidence proportion ratio;
• IRR = Incidence rate ratio;
• OR = Odds ratio.
