In order to get the most benefit from this section, you should be familiar with the following:
The three measures of occurrence:
- P = Prevalence;
- IP = Incidence proportion;
- IR = Incidence rate.
The four measures of effect (of an exposure):
- PR = Prevalence ratio;
- IPR = Incidence proportion ratio;
- IRR = Incidence rate ratio;
- OR = Odds ratio.
