Reflection: My extra-judicial activities

1. Goals
   

   • To highlight the issues of extra-judicial activities and show where ethical problems could exist
   • To encourage thinking about personal extra-judicial activities in the light of possible problems that have occurred or could occur
   • To promote the idea that change may be necessary for individuals in their own particular activities

5. Process
   

   1. Discuss the types of extra-judicial activities relating to this module very briefly, and give the key areas of concern (OHT 2). Give some examples relating to each area.
      (15 minutes)

   2. Distribute Handout 1, and ask participants to think carefully about the range of activities with which they are involved and to write these down under the relevant categories.
      (15 minutes)

   3. Tell them that this list will be revisited later. There is no discussion on the issues at this stage.
